Young love celebrated in Montmartre
Two Americans in London
Tyler saw Simran at a pub, across the way he thought he'd never seen a girl as beautiful, and he had to say something to her. As an American visiting London, for some reason, he sensed that Simran was also American, and he struck up a conversation. Indeed, Simran is American and thus began the love story of two Americans who met in London. Which definitely goes to show, you never know where you're going to meet the love of your life!
Students in Love
Tyler is studying Finance, Simran is studying Medicine. She wants to be a general practitioner, maybe specializing in pediatrics. Not only are these two brainy, but their inner spirit is so beautiful and I was captivated by the affection they have for each other. They have a free and easy spirit, and just were generally pleasant to hang out with!
Tyler explained he chose Montmartre as his photo location because they wanted to do something a little different than be photographed at the Eiffel Tower. He mentioned during the photo shoot that he had made the right choice, and I 100% agree. Montmartre is I think one of the most charming areas of Paris. It still retains its village feel, you know that classic Parisian neighborhood people visiting love to see. It's also quite colorful, and while Paris can be quite drab, Montmartre is always a pick-me-up.
We started at Metro Abbesses, an Art Nouveau landmark in Paris and then walked across the street to the Wall of I Love You's, which is sweet and touristy at the same time.
From there, we walked through the Place du Tertre, which was filled with tourists and artists, and tourists having their caricatures created. Then, off to my favorite street and one of my favorite buildings in Paris (I'm a sucker for pink), La Maison Rose. We then passed by the vineyard in Montmartre, which had big, plump grapes hanging from the vines. Then, another glorious Montmartre photo spot, Au Lapin Agile. Like being on a movie set, really!
We then walked back up the hill and did some photos in front of the amazing Sacre Coeur Basilica (Sacred Heart) and finished with a stunning view over the city.
A Bright Future
This young couple has a very bright future ahead of them, starting off with this amazing visit to Paris! I hope these images will serve as a reminder of their time in the City of Light and a wonderful reminder of when their love story was new.
