Red, she said, loving couples photo session at the Eiffel Tower
Red is the color of love
When I saw Jeannie and Josh step out of their Uber, I knew I was in for a treat of a couples photo session! Jeannie is simply stunning, tall, gorgeous, with flowing blond hair, and wearing the most amazing red gown. Red is the color of love and romance, and Jeannie wore it so well! Not to be outdone, the love of her life, Josh, looked sharp as can be in a matching red tie. But life isn't all about good looks, and this couple had love in their hearts and a friendly and welcoming demeanor. Of course they do, they live in Dallas, and people from Dallas are awesome! Okay, so I'm from the Midwest originally, and I consider Dallas part of the South and part of the Midwest. Maybe I'm wrong with my geography, but I wasn't wrong with how amazing they looked and how nice they were!
When in Paris, dress the part
Clients often ask me how they should dress for their Paris photo session, and to be honest, it's a bit of a tough question to answer. That's because some people really prefer a more casual look than dressy one. But I have to say, it's a huge mistake to be in Paris and at the Eiffel Tower and miss the opportunity to dress to the hilt. That's why you often see so many ladies at Trocadero with their husbands or boyfriends having photos taken in gowns. It's time to celebrate! A gown is definitely in order! Don't have a gown or want to buy one? If you're from the United States you can rent one online, Rent the Runway is one popular company that rents beautiful gowns. Of course you don't have to wear a gown, a beautiful dress or skirt or fancy slacks can also look amazing. It's important also to dress for your particular personality, and if you can avoid it, don't wear all black. Black is chic and beautiful but the Trocadero area of the Eiffel Tower, where we often photograph, is somewhat drab, so a pop of color (or a lot of color like in Jeannie's case) is a good plan.
You can also consider having your hair and makeup professionally done. What better excuse than having photographs taken in Paris to really treat yourself? Jeannie's makeup was flawless and I also liked the little details, such as her Eiffel Tower nails. It was a super cute touch!
A love story at the Eiffel Tower
I get to witness love stories at the Eiffel Tower each and every day, to be a small part of a couple's memories means the world to me. Jeannie and Josh are deeply in love. They met on a Carnival cruise ship. Josh told his friend that he just had to meet the tall, beautiful blond. Now, they spend much of their time traveling the world together in addition to their work and educational pursuits. Jeannie is working on her MBA. There's a whole lotta love between them and they were a dream to work with and photograph!
