Paris engagement photo session for a deeply in love couple

This Paris engagement photo session was with a couple so deeply in love, it made me really stop and think about life itself and what it means to be loved. India and Kadeesha (Dee) were so in love and so sweet that it was pure magic to photograph them. Let me share their story.

India contacted me about a very special surprise proposal she wanted to plan, and ask Dee to marry her in Paris. She wanted the very best--the works, to make this the most memorable day for them both. She booked a violinist, who played their three favorite songs. We had champagne. Plus, she hired a talented videographer to capture the moment for friends and family back home. India also thought it would be lovely to have an engagement photo session at the Louvre Museum the day after. In short, she thought of everything. India and I texted a lot before she arrived in Paris, so much that I felt like I already knew her when I met her, and it was instant friendship. Both she and Dee are real, down-to-earth people from New Jersey, and two people I so enjoyed photographing and getting to know.

The a day after India and Dee's surprise proposal, we met at the venerable Louvre Museum, home to countless kings and queens of France, and for many years home to the most famous lady, La Jaconde, better known as Mona Lisa. We met at 8:00 am, before tourists arrived, and were blessed with an absolutely stunning morning. The sun was coming up and casting the kind of light we Paris photographers love.

This gorgeous couple were in their own beautiful world for much of their Paris engagement session. As a Paris engagement photographer, I have the good fortune to meet many nice people, but India and Dee will certainly go to top of the list of wonderful people and, people most in love.

As many of us do in modern times, they met through technology, on an app. Now, they were traveling Europe together and celebrating their engagement. Not only did I photograph them at the Louvre, with the famous glass pyramid, but also in the courtyard and the nearby Tuileries Gardens. The gardens are a wonderful spot all year long for engagement photos in Paris.

Of the two days I spent with India and Dee, the thing that kept popping into my head was, "I should be so lucky to find a love like theirs in my lifetime".

I felt a bit winsome, how would I ever find a love like India and Dee have for each other? They way they smile at each other. The way they look into each other's eyes. The tenderness they have when they kiss each other. The fun they have together. A match made in heaven. But most of all, it was the true love and care they demonstrate that made me so happy to be around. How can you not be happy when you're surrounded by love like this?

It is my wish that we all find love like the kind of love that India and Dee have for each other, and that their love will grow even stronger and brighter and last an eternity. I wish them so much happiness, joy and continued fun together.

A toast to India and Kadeesha!
