Exquisite anniversary photo session at the Eiffel Tower
Exquisite anniversary photo session at the Eiffel Tower. As a Paris photographer who specializes in photographing couples, more often than not at the Eiffel Tower, I’ve had the good fortune to meet so many amazing couples from all walks of life. They’re all beautiful and so are their love stories. But I have to say, David and Ashley’s photo shoot at the Eiffel Tower stands out as one of my favorites of all time.
Not only are they just lovely people to spend time with, but look at how sharp they are! David and Ashley were celebrating their anniversary in Paris and they pulled out all the stops! We had the most beautiful weather too, everything was nice and green, and despite the sun not shining, did you know that cloudy days are actually preferred over sunny days? The soft light filtering through the clouds is very flattering, especially in morning light.
What to wear when being photographed in Paris
Most people don’t come to Paris very often, it’s a special occasion. It’s also a very expensive city. From the hotels, to the restaurants, and of course the shopping, the costs can really add up. For those of us who live here, it’s tough sometimes. Paris was recently named the most expensive city in the world. So, it’s truly a special occasion city. Having your photos done at the Eiffel Tower is a special occasion, and investment. It’s capturing a time in your life as a couple, and a time and place that has its own magic.
What will you look back on when you’re older? Will you be able to look back on your beautiful photos in Paris? A time when you were young, vibrant, in love?
Ashley and David understood all of this when they booked their photo session with me. They understood it’s not a daily thing, and they dressed accordingly. Ashley looked amazing in her ball gown, the perfect shade for her complexion and hair, and looked great against the beiges and greens at the Eiffel Tower in summer.
David had a smart and tailored suit coat that fit him perfectly, and his colored kerchief completed his look. Together, the two looked dazzling and it shows in their photos.
Some ladies don’t like dresses, that’s fine, wear some slacks. But if you do like dresses or have a ball gown you’ve been dying to wear, there’s no better place to get dressed up than for a photo session in Paris, at the Eiffel Tower or anywhere around the city!
Honestly, your photos will look so much more elegant, romantic and make you so much happier if you’re dressed up a bit and in something you really love.
In summer in particular, there are so many spots to create wonderful photographs at Trocadero, one of the main spots to view the Eiffel Tower. You have the staircases, and you also have the fountains. Sometimes the fountains aren’t on, but there is water in the reflecting pools. I like to play with light and shadows as well as reflections when possible. But my number one goal is to capture the emotion between two people. The look, the glance, the kiss on the nose, the gentle clasp of the hand. These small moments are what creates big results for couples when being photographed in Paris.
I also love the carousel at Trocadero. Its beautiful colors with the green leaves of the trees look amazing.
My thanks to Ashley and David for spending part of their morning with me, it was truly an honor to photograph you and I wish you continued joy and happiness!
