April in Paris
It really is true about April in Paris, it’s one of the most magical times to visit Paris. Everything is in bloom, there are bits of white and pink flowers all over the city, and this year lately it’s been quite sunny and mild, with a bit of rain thrown in for good measure.
Bhanu and Navatha contacted me as they were interested in a Paris photo shoot. When they arrived at our meeting point I was really amazed to see them—dressed classy and elegant, the perfect attire for a Paris photo session! Navatha’s dress was flowy, elegant and colorful, and her hair was done to perfection. Bhanu is very handsome and was also very natural in front of the camera.
From Venice to Santorini to Paris
Bhanu told me that they had hired photographers in each city they’d visited on their European holiday to photograph them. What a good idea, I thought! Instead of using cell phones and selfies, why not call upon the many professional photographers who are happy to capture your time in their city.
Venice and Santorini are such gorgeous places, would I be able to live up to Bhanu and Navatha’s expectations? I sure hoped so!
Paris in the evening
Paris on a Saturday night is crazy busy. We met at the Pont Bir Hakeim bridge, one of my favorite places for a Paris photo shoot, and it was Wedding Central. This is such a popular spot on Saturday nights for wedding photography with the Eiffel Tower in the back. The bridge, with its elegant ironwork and lamps, which look like delicate earrings, make a wonderful setting for photography of any kind.
When we were done, we headed over to Trocadero, which is a really bad idea on a Saturday night, as there are so many people there, it’s nearly impossible to photograph there, but I have my secret spots!
To the Louvre
The couple had booked my two-hour Diamond session, and our second location was the always beautiful Louvre museum. I love the courtyard here, and this couple photographed so beautifully on the staircase and in the courtyard. The light was now getting lower and it made everything look even more beautiful than it usually does.
After finishing at the Louvre, we went across the street to the famous Tuileries Gardens, where we used the Louvre as a gorgeous backdrop and also roamed around the gardens before we said farewell.
It was such an enjoyable evening. Paris evening photo sessions can be more challenging because of the people that are out, but the benefit is the amazing evening light, which I think we captured beautifully.
My sincere thanks to this friendly and warm couple for choosing me to be their photographer in Paris, it was such a pleasure to meet them and photograph them!
