DESTINATION WEDDINGS

the United States

It seems a bit odd to consider weddings in the United States, “destination” weddings as I’m American and spent most of my life in Minnesota and Los Angeles.

As an adopted Parisian living in France full-time since 2014, I love every change I get to travel back to the United States.

I specialize in smaller ceremonies, with 100 or fewer guests. Intimate and personal weddings are my jam and I love working with fellow Americans to capture the weddings of their dreams — whether that’s in France, Italy, or right at home in the USA.

Places I’d love to photograph weddings + YOUR city!

Los Angeles

The City of Angels was my home for 10 years. I love everything about LA, particularly the beautiful outdoors–mountains and ocean and desert were my playgrounds, and I know the LA area very well. I’m pleased to photograph weddings in the LA area, including Ventura County.

Miami

I’ve been to Miami so many times it feels like a second home. I absolutely adore Southern Florida. If you’re getting married in the Miami area, I’d love to photograph your wedding!

Arizona

From the grandeur of the Grand Canyon and Sedona, all the way down to Tucson, I’ve spent so much time traveling in and loving Arizona.

Interested in having me photograph your wedding in the U.S.?

FAQS

YOUR MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ANSWERED

If you have a question that is not covered then please get in touch, I am happy to answer any questions you have.

So, you're a destination wedding photographer?

Yes! I’m a destination wedding and honeymoon photographer from the United States, based in Paris, France. My bag is always packed. 🙂

DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH WEDDINGS & ELOPEMENTS?

Yes! I photograph intimate wedding ceremonies in Paris and throughout France as well as Greece and Italy and many other countries, such as Mexico. I’m a professional photographer and avid traveler who loves capturing couples in love worldwide.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A WEDDING & ELOPEMENT?

WEDDING

A wedding is usually a bit more traditional, and fits the following criteria:

  • Ceremony in a church or place of worship
  • Ceremony at a hotel or event center, such at the Ritz Hotel, Shangri-La or Hotel Marignan in Paris
  • Ceremony in a chateau in Paris or throughout France
  • Has between 10-50 guests or more
  • Has a traditional ceremony followed by aperitif hour and dinner and sometimes a dance reception
  • Has a traditional ceremony followed by a lunch
  • Includes portraits of the couple and their family at the place of worship, or in Paris or near the event location, if in another part of France
  • Includes photography coverage of up to 10 hours

ELOPEMENT

An elopement is usually a very small and short ceremony with the couple themselves. It usually fits the following criteria:

  • An elopement is usually a short ceremony of 20 minutes or less with an officiant/celebrant and the couple.
  • If there are guests, it’s usually just 2-3.
  • The couple desires to have an intimate ceremony to exchange vows, often with a view of the Eiffel Tower from a garden or terrace, such as those found in hotels such as the Shangri-La or Hotel Marignan in Paris.
  • The couple desires portraits of the elopement ceremony and portraits around Paris.
  • Includes photography coverage of up to 3 hours.
ARE YOU ALREADY COMPLETELY BOOKED FOR 2020?

I only accept so many weddings and elopements each year, so that I can give my very best, however, I still do have some availability for 2020.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I RESERVE MY WEDDING/ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER?

In general, Paris and France, in general, are very popular spots, so its best to reserve as far in advance as possible.

WHAT'S YOUR STYLE?

A lot of people classify my style as “light & airy”, versus the very popular “dark & moody”.  The truth is, I’m neither.

Nor can I be defined as a fine art photographer, or a documentary photographer. What am I then?

The truth is, my style is a fusion of color and emotion. I incorporate vibrant color, enough brightness to show the happiness of a wedding day, but not to blow out highlights (I like to see the sky!). I love aspects of documentary and aspects of fine art. I fuse them together to tell a beautiful story of how a wedding day unfolded.

If we’re in a gorgeous spot, like a beach, a mountain, a chateau, or in Paris with the magnificent monuments, I’m also incorporating nature or architectural elements that set the stage for your wedding story.

DO YOU HELP ME PLAN MY DAY?

Absolutely, we’ll discuss your big day, and the kind of photography coverage you would like.

We're going on our honeymoon and need a honeymoon photographer, do you do that?

Absolutely! Whether you’re honeymooning in Paris, or greater France, or another country like Italy or Greece, I’m available worldwide.

DO YOU REQUIRE A RETAINER/DEPOSIT?

A 50% non-refundable retainer is requested to reserve your date along with a signed contract.

Your non-refundable retainer ensures that your wedding date is reserved, and I accept no bookings after it is received.

The retainer may be paid by credit card or bank wire transfer. I do not accept cash payments.

WHEN IS THE FINAL PAYMENT DUE??

The balance will be due 30 days before your event and may be paid by credit card or bank wire transfer (I do not accept cash payments).

You can also opt to have installment payments up until the time your balance is due.

For example, if your wedding is on July 1:

  • 50% non-refundable retainer to reserve your date
  • 50% balance due June 1
  • Smaller installment payments accepted up until June 1
