An elegant Paris Dream Session for Quinceañera
A princess in waiting
When I was contacted by Sarah, who lives in the southern United States, she explained that her family was taking a very special trip to Europe, and her daughter Amanda, would be turning 15 in August. To celebrate her quinceañera, they wanted to do a beautiful Parisian photo shoot, and what better place to do so than in Paris?
I just have to say that Amanda was a true princess in waiting. She is elegant, classy, beautiful, smart, and confident. These are not traits I had at her age, but she was sophisticated on our photo shoot beyond her years and I hope she treasures these memories of herself as a young woman for years to come.
Amazing outfits and locations
During the Picture Me Paris Paris Dream Session, we go to three major Paris locations for our photos. For Amanda, we selected the Eiffel Tower, which included Trocadero and the bridge of Bir Hakeim. Then, we went to the Louvre and the Tuileries Gardens, and finally, we finished our session on the Pont des Arts and along the beautiful Seine River.
Amanda had three changes of clothes during her Paris Dream Session. First, a champagne colored ball gown, which looked amazing set against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower. Second, a bright blue ball gown that was elegant at the Louvre, and third, one of the cutest pant suits you've ever seen! Amanda donned a hat and sunglasses to complete the look and could not have been more adorable!
Amanda was such a natural in front of the camera, she didn't need much guidance. Her mother and sister who accompanied us, also were a huge help, and gave her personalized suggestions, which was great. There are my favorite spots in Paris, I took Amanda to all of those, and a few that I don't visit all too often. Most clients are not comfortable in front of the camera, but Amanda was. No matter if a client is nervous, or already has modeling experience, I help guide my clients gently, with patience and love.
How much fun?
For a photographer in Paris, working with Amanda and her family was a dream come true. Beautiful locations, beautiful outfits, and an amazing model--what more could someone ask for? I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Amanda's family, hearing more about their vacation adventures, and getting to know them as people. For many photographers, I suppose they're primarily interested in the photography aspect.
For sure, I'm a professional and have very high standards. However, I'm also a social person, and I love to chat and connect with clients. To me, there's nothing better than spending time in Paris with lovely people, chatting about the world, about Paris, and having a lot of fun.
After all, in the end, why do anything in life if it's not fun? I mean, okay, going to the dentist isn't fun, but your photo shoot in Paris should be fun, memorable, and give you a window to a time in your life where you felt wonderful exploring this romantic and dynamic city!
