This editorial wedding photo shoot took place in the beautiful seaside city of Toulon, in the south of France. Equidistant from Marseille and Nice, it’s a charming place for a wedding, and not only do you have incredible views of the sea here, you also have incredible vineyards, like this one named Peyrassol. It is simply magnificent. At Peyrassol you’ll find charming green vineyards and enjoy wine tastings. You’ll also find the grounds perfectly manicured and the stone buildings are incredibly charming. Just what you’d expect from a Provence getaway.
Some very talented artists gathered here to make French magic. Our bride for this day was the gorgeous Nathalie Barthe. Her wedding gowns were classic French style and provided by Aude at Violette Creation. You can find out more about her designs on Facebook. Nathalie has a beautiful, elegant style and we captured her bridal couture all around the grounds of Peyrassol.
What a history Peyrassol has too! From their web site:
Founded in the 13th century by the Knights Templar, the Commanderie de Peyrassol covers an area of some 850 hectares dotted with oaks and olive groves, with 93 hectares dedicated to growing grapes. Thanks to its outstanding natural location the Commanderie was a favoured staging post and a place of rest for pilgrims on their way to the Holy Land.
At an elevation of 330 metres on the lower slopes of the Massif des Maures, the vineyard sits on a clay and limestone soil which is ideal for viticulture. Since the first varieties were planted by the Templars some 800 years ago, generations of wine growers have applied their know-how to nurturing the vineyard and its wines through the dedicated cultivation of this exceptional terroir.
Not only can you do wine tastings at Peyrassol, you can even stay overnight!
Our day started very early, capturing pretty wedding details and at various times of light. My favorite time of this day was just at sunset, when the warm hues and rays of light beautifully magnified this beautiful bride!
